Antique local-battery wall telephone housed in an oak cabinet with dovetailed corner construction. The front is fitted with twin black bells, a fixed flared transmitter, sound openings, and a hinged writing shelf. A separate black receiver rests on a side-mounted switch hook, with a hand crank mounted on the opposite side. The hinged cabinet opens to reveal the magneto mechanism, ringer assembly, wiring, terminals, and an affixed paper wiring diagram indicating local-battery operation. A small metal number plate is mounted on the front.
