Chinese decorative figurine depicting Guan Gong (Guan Yu/Kwan Kung), the celebrated historical general and traditional symbol of loyalty, righteousness, courage, integrity and protection. The figure portrays the bearded warrior in elaborate armor and robes, holding his characteristic long-bladed weapon and standing upon a stylized cloud-form base.
The figure has a bright gold-foil or gold-plated-style finish and is mounted on a red fabric-covered platform with a dark wooden-style base. The front plaque reads ???? (Guan Di Sheng Jun), an honorific referring to the deified Guan Yu. The complete presentation is enclosed within a clear acrylic display cover.
Decorative Guan Gong figures are traditionally displayed in Chinese homes and businesses as auspicious symbols of protection, prosperity and good fortune.
The gold-colored surface is catalogued as a decorative gold-foil or plated-style finish. No representation is made that the figurine is solid gold, and precious-metal content has not been independently tested.
