Carved wooden eagle wall sculpture by Craig Voisin, created in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1991. The elongated eagle features deeply carved Northwest Coast design elements with layered feather forms and an abalone shell inlaid eye. The work is signed and dated by the artist on the reverse.

Artist Biography: Craig Voisin was born in 1962 and is a member of the Squamish Nation of North Vancouver, British Columbia. He studied Northwest Coast art under Coast Salish artist Mathew Baker and has produced carved works drawing upon Northwest Coast artistic traditions. His work is particularly associated with carved cedar representations of animals including eagles and salmon, often incorporating abalone shell inlay.

Voisin's carvings have appeared in galleries and at auction, including documented eagle and salmon carvings with abalone inlay. A Craig Voisin eagle with shell eye has also been catalogued by Leland Little, while a large abalone-inlaid eagle carving was previously offered by Able Auctions.
