Vintage Korean Geobukseon (Turtle Ship) model, finished in 24K gold plating and presented as a Kumho Tires corporate presentation or commemorative piece. The model reproduces the distinctive Korean armored warship associated with Admiral Yi Sun-sin and the Imjin War of the late 16th century.
The detailed model features a dragon-head bow, armored turtle-shell-style deck with raised spikes, twin sails, rigging, multiple oars and an ornamental hull. It is mounted on a red velvet-covered platform with a black base bearing a KUMHO TIRES plaque and presented within a clear display case.
Comparable vintage Korean presentation models are described as base-metal constructions electroplated with 24K gold, rather than solid-gold objects. The present model should therefore be understood as a gold-plated decorative or commemorative piece; no solid-gold content is represented.
