The composition features strong bilateral symmetry, prominent outlined eyes, broad nostrils, exposed squared teeth and sweeping curvilinear forms surrounding the face.
The heavily worked surface incorporates raised and incised details, layered pigments, splattered accents and extensive textural decoration. The bold composition uses gold/yellow, deep red and burgundy, green, black and cream tones against a densely decorated background.
